This is my cat Starlight who recently passed away. Don't worry though, she was getting old and was ready to go. She was an awesome cat though, loved to hunt >.< So I noticed I didn't have any life-like drawings and I have to submit 3 of them to AI online for my portfolio.. I"m a little nervous that they won't accept me hahaha. Gah now I have 2 more to draw... not sure.. maybe the Ozzy picture I've been wanting to do but I know it will take longer. This picture only took me one day, did it last night at 12:30am.

Here is the refernce photo.

Tools: Gimp to take out the grid via filters, Sandford's Turquoise 2B pencil, and my fav mech pencil: Techniclick II. What's your fav tools? Oh and drawn on Xerox #110 paper.

Ooh, I'm lovin' that head. Looks exactly like your reference photo!

The back though, looks a little strange. Looking at the photograph you referenced from it's at an od angle there as well, so it's not that bad. The paws could use some work - but overal, I lovely peice of work.

Good luck getting into AI :3 I'm sure they'll accept you!

Thank you very much for the comment! Ah yes! I knew there was a few things that needed to be fixed but I couldn't put my finger on it *LOL* Yeah the angle is pretty weird so I have having problems figuring out how to draw her back. Her paw was hard to do too since the picture was cut off. Thanks again!
